Nghe An strictly controls passenger transport vehicles from Ha Tinh to prevent Covid-19 epidemic

(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An province requires transport units when going to Ha Tinh or vice versa to only carry a maximum of 50% of capacity and no more than 20 people per vehicle.

On the afternoon of June 5, the Nghe An Department of Transport announced the adjustment of the transport plan to Ha Tinh province. This move took place in the context that Ha Tinh had just discovered 2 more positive cases of Covid-19 in the community this morning.

Accordingly, the Nghe An Department of Transport requires passenger transport businesses on fixed inter-provincial routes, buses, contract vehicles, tourist vehicles, and taxis to strictly implement measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health, especially the 5K measure when driving vehicles to and from Ha Tinh province and vice versa.

Drivers are only allowed to carry a maximum of 50% of the vehicle's capacity and no more than 20 people on the vehicle (for sleeper buses with 2 rows of beds on both sides and all beds have curtains, the number of passengers can be carried according to the design). For taxis with less than 7 seats, they are allowed to carry no more than 3 people (including the driver). Disinfectant spraying is carried out after the end of the journey.

At the same time, the Department also requires all passengers, drivers and staff on the vehicle to wear masks throughout the journey, wash their hands with disinfectant before boarding the vehicle, have their temperature taken, make an honest health declaration (full name, address, phone number, time and place of boarding/disembarking); arrange seats apart and limit talking on the vehicle.

Bus operators are responsible for providing sufficient hand sanitizer, spare masks, and portable electronic body temperature measuring devices; Strictly update and store the list, phone numbers, addresses, times, and locations of passengers getting on/off the bus for each trip to serve tracing when necessary. Passenger transport units are fully responsible before the law for storing passenger information to serve tracing.

In addition, the management and operation units of bus stations in the province are required to strictly control inter-provincial fixed-route vehicles entering and leaving the station to pick up and drop off passengers according to regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control.

The Department of Transport also assigned the Transport Management Department to be responsible for monitoring transport activities through journey monitoring devices, detecting vehicles violating regulations, promptly advising on handling according to regulations; regularly updating information for advice and direction. Meanwhile, the Department Inspectorate is required to arrange forces to regularly inspect and handle violations according to its authority.
