Nghe An inspects infrastructure investment projects in industrial parks and clusters

Nghia Dan District Industrial Cluster was approved for investment by the province in 2009 with an area of ​​37.5 hectares and a total capital of 52 billion VND. After nearly 10 years of investment, the industrial cluster infrastructure has completed 70% of the volume, thereby creating conditions for 6 factories to operate stably, filling 70% of the construction area, creating jobs for over 500 local workers, contributing to the budget over 10 billion VND/year.

In addition to the above advantages, at the working session, the representative of Nghia Dan District People's Committee also reported to the working delegation some shortcomings in the process of implementing the industrial cluster. Specifically, due to lack of capital, some traffic infrastructure items and drainage ditches have not been completed; the wastewater treatment system is under investment, there is no raw water supply for factories, unstable electricity, etc.

Nghia Dan district proposed that the province continue to support preferential funding mechanisms to complete infrastructure items at the Nghia Long commune industrial park and add an additional industrial park in Nghia Phu commune.

In the afternoon, the delegation worked with the WHA Industrial Zone 1 – Nghe An Industrial Park project invested by Hemaraj Group in Nghi Loc. This is an industrial park infrastructure investment project that started construction in June 2018, with a total registered investment of over 2,000 billion VND; the usable area is 3,200 hectares, of which phase 1 recovers 498 hectares of land.

After more than 1 year of construction, the investor has carried out a number of site leveling items as well as compensation support equivalent to a cost of 420 billion VND.

However, the implementation process also encountered some problems regarding the relocation of graves, the construction of new roads to replace old residential roads, the drainage system for industrial parks, and inadequacies and passivity in planning the source of land for leveling the ground...

On behalf of the working delegation, Mr. Hoang Van Tam - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade acknowledged the efforts of Nghia Dan and Nghi Loc districts in attracting investment in Nghia Dan District Industrial Cluster and WHA Industrial Zone 1 - Nghe An.

Emphasizing that these are two projects attracting investment in industrial infrastructure according to the province's Project, selected for inspection and survey, the Head of the delegation said that the purpose of the inspection is to grasp the progress of investment projects to speed up the progress; at the same time, it is the basis for evaluating the results of implementing socio-economic targets in 2019 and building planning targets for 2020.
