Contribute to preserving and promoting traditional values

Exactly 70 years ago, at the request of the Department of Propaganda and Literature, on October 10, 1952, President Ho Chi Minh signed Decree 122/SL to establish the National Printing House. Decree 122/SL has great significance. Since then, October 10 has become the traditional day of the Publishing, Printing and Book Distribution industry in Vietnam.

Nghe An is a province with a large population, a long history and culture, diverse life and contains many attractive publishing topics, a rich potential source that has a favorable impact on the development of the Publishing, Printing and Distribution industry.

As of June 2022, Nghe An province has 2 publishing houses; 16 establishments licensed to operate printing; 25 units granted registration certificates for printing activities; 4 units licensed to operate publishing.

The basic and biggest advantage of industry businessesPublishPrinting and publishing in Nghe An province is the active participation of state management agencies.
The Department of Information and Communications has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue Decision No. 2971 dated July 13, 2010 approving the Development Plan for the Publishing, Printing and Distribution industry in Nghe An province for the period 2010 - 2020; including a list of key projects and plans to turn the Publishing, Printing and Distribution industry in general and the Printing industry in particular into the development center of the North Central region.

In particular, the establishment of Nghe An Printing Association on September 5, 2019 is an important milestone marking the development in the context of fierce competition of the market economy. Publishing ordering activities are also very active and maintained, from 2013 - 2022, the DepartmentInformation and Communicationadvised on ordering nearly 100 books with a quantity of more than 60,000 copies.

Activities to respond to Vietnam Book Day on April 21st are carried out in the province with a series of rich and diverse activities. From 2014 to present, the Department of Information and Communications, together with publishing and distribution units in the province, has donated nearly 30,000 copies of books to libraries of schools with difficult conditions, border posts, etc.

The activities of the Publishing, Printing and Distribution industry have contributed to the overall development of the economic sector, especially making an important contribution to preserving, conserving and promoting the spiritual values ​​and traditions of the Vietnamese people in general and Nghe An in particular.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the Publishing, Printing and Book Distribution industry of Vietnam in general and Nghe An province in particular has made significant contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party; pioneered in propaganda work, preserved the nation's fine traditions, promoted reading culture, and actively contributed to socio-economic development as well as international integration.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that in the coming time, publishing, printing and distribution units and state management agencies need to perform well a number of key tasks. First of all, it is necessary to improve the capacity, efficiency and effectiveness of state management of publishing work, especially the work of inspection, examination and guidance on the implementation of the Party and State's guidelines and policies.

Next, promote capacity, enhance professionalism and proactiveness of publishers in performing political tasks and production and business, meeting the requirements of industrialization, modernization and international integration.
