Nghe An takes samples for testing and quarantines 2 students in close contact with Covid-19 patient overnight

On the evening of January 31, Mr. Nguyen Van Long - Director of Vinh City Medical Center said that the unit had requested a passenger bus to transport a male student who was F1 of "patient 1815" from FPT University to Vinh via Le Loi Ward Medical Station to identify the subject and take steps to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.

Immediately afterwards, the male student was taken by Nam Dan Medical Center to a local centralized quarantine facility, and his Covid-19 test sample was taken that same night. To ensure safety, the authorities temporarily blocked a section of Chu Van An Street (in front of Le Loi Ward Medical Station) to conduct disinfection spraying.

It is known that the male student is from Nam Dan district, studying at FPT University (Hanoi).

This person attended the same school as “patient 1815” and is believed to have been in close contact with the patient. At the time the Ministry of Health announced this case, the male student from Nghe An was on his way home for Tet.

"Upon receiving the information, we contacted and then prepared forces to pick up the male student and disinfect the bus, then immediately quarantined the male student," said Mr. Long.

On the bus, in addition to the male student, there were 22 other people identified as F2. All 22 people had their information taken by Vinh City Medical Center and were sent home for quarantine.

In addition to this case, also related to "patient 1815" are 4 F1 cases, all of whom are students from Nghe An, of which 3 have been quarantined in Hanoi.

The remaining student (from Vinh City) who returned home earlier was also tested and quarantined, and the authorities are also tracing F2 cases.

Previously, on the afternoon of January 31, the Ministry of Health announced"case 1815"This is a male student born in 2000, Faculty of Software Engineering, FPT University - Hoa Lac.

On January 23-24, this male student returned to Hai Duong to attend his brother's wedding. From January 25-29, the patient went to Hanoi to study as usual at FPT University - Lang Hoa Lac (fixed class). He went to school in the morning and returned home in the evening to live with his parents at Apartment 32 Duy Tan, My Dinh 2, Nam Tu Liem. On January 28, the patient started to show symptoms of cough, sore throat and fatigue. From January 30, the patient stayed at home.

The patient declared that he had returned from Chi Linh, Hai Duong and had his sample taken on January 30, and the test result was positive on January 31, along with his mother. Currently, Nam Tu Liem District forces have sealed off the apartment complex Dreamland Ponaga and are continuing to trace related subjects./.
