(Baonghean.vn) - A woman who ate poison ivy to commit suicide was promptly saved by the military doctors of Tri Le Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard in coordination with local medical staff.
At 8:30 p.m. on February 10, 2019 (the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), Tri Le Border Guard Station coordinated with Tri Le Commune Health Station to successfully rescue Ms. Ly YB (born in 1997), residing in Pa Khom village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, who due to marital conflict ate poison ivy and committed suicide using folk remedies.
The remedy is crushed banana stem, combined with pennywort (washed with banana stem water), crushed and squeezed to get the juice, mixed with banana stem water, then drop 2-3 live frogs into the banana juice - pennywort mixture for about 1 minute, then remove the frogs, give the patient to drink to stimulate vomiting, remove toxins in the stomach.
Along with eliminating toxins in the stomach using natural methods, military doctors combined injections of antibiotics, heart and strength drugs.

After 2 hours of intensive emergency care and resuscitation, the patient's cyanosis was gone, he had less difficulty breathing, could talk and walk. Currently, the patient's health is recovering and progressing well.
Previously, on December 31, 2018, Tri Le Border Guard Station also coordinated with the commune health station to successfully rescue Tho Ba D (born in 2000) who committed suicide by eating poison ivy due to family conflicts; on January 3, 2019, the unit also successfully rescued Tho Ba S (born in 1992) who committed suicide by eating poison ivy.
Thus, in a short time, the unit successfully treated 3 cases of suicide by eating poison ivy in the border commune of Tri Le, Que Phong district.
