From about 3:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on April 19, 2019, in the communes of Thach Giam, Xa Luong and Hoa Binh town, Tuong Duong district, hail occurred over a large area, causing damage to trees, crops and people's property.
According to records in Hoa Binh town, hail ranging from 1cm to 2cm in size with relatively high intensity caused some trees and crops to break. In addition, hail was also accompanied by strong whirlwinds causing trees, billboards, posters, and billboards along National Highway 7A to fall and break. Many houses with corrugated iron or fiber cement roofs had their roofs blown off and broken.
