Nghe An: Heavy rain, 2 victims swept away by water
(Baonghean.vn) - As of 9:00 a.m. on October 10, in Nghe An province, there were 2 victims swept away by floodwaters. Currently, local authorities are coordinating with other forces to search for the victims.
- Around 6am October 10,Lang Duc Duy's nephew(Born in 2013, residing in Dap village, Chau Tien commune, Quy Hop) was swept away by floodwaters on his way to school.

As soon as receiving the news, Chau Tien commune authorities organized a search for Duy.
Currently, the spillway into Chau Tien commune is deeply flooded, causing isolation, making it very difficult to access the scene. The People's Committee of Quy Hop district has directed communes to assign people to guard the spillway points, preventing people from passing. Quy Hop district leaders are trying to get into Chau Tien commune to direct the search for victims.
- In Quynh Vinh commune (Hoang Mai town)At around 6:30 a.m., Ms. Le Thi Ngoan (born in 1995, resident of hamlet 9) was on her way to take her 3rd grade niece to school when she reached Ong Vang bridge and was swept away by the water.

Fortunately, the child was rescued by local people, while Ms. Ngoan and her motorbike were swept away by the flood. After receiving the information, the Hoang Mai Town authorities directed Quynh Vinh Commune and the police, military, and fire prevention forces to organize search and rescue operations.
However, due to strong water flow from upstream, the section through Rai stream has strong water flow, making the search for victims difficult.
