Nghe An: Agricultural sector fines 194 establishments for violating food safety
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in 2016, units under the Department imposed fines on 194 establishments with the amount of 568,150,000 VND paid to the State Treasury in the field of food safety.

In 2016, food safety management units in the agricultural sector at the provincial and district levels inspected and examined thousands of establishments producing and trading agricultural materials and agricultural, forestry and fishery products, inspected and classified them according to Circular No. 45/2014/TT-BNNPTNT; implemented the signing of commitments for small-scale initial production establishments according to the provisions of Circular No. 51/2014/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The units under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development have imposed fines on 194 establishments with the amount of VND 568,150,000 paid to the State Treasury. Of which, the Quality Management Department imposed a fine of VND 54,750,000, the Fisheries Department imposed a fine of VND 32,100,000, the Cultivation Department imposed a fine of VND 67,000,000, and the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department: VND 414,300,000.
The main violations are not having a certificate of qualified food safety facilities, qualified to trade in agricultural materials, trading in substandard or expired drugs.
The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Product Quality Management has inspected and classified 327 establishments producing and trading agricultural, forestry and fishery products (117 establishments in the plant chain, 113 establishments in the aquatic chain, 97 establishments in the animal chain). Food safety certificates have been granted to 194 establishments, and by the end of November 2016, 689 establishments have been granted.
The Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection organized inspections and classified 520 pesticide trading establishments in the area.
The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Product Quality Management has inspected and classified 327 establishments producing and trading agricultural, forestry and fishery products (117 establishments in the plant chain, 113 establishments in the aquatic chain, 97 establishments in the animal chain). Food safety certificates have been granted to 194 establishments, and by the end of November 2016, 689 establishments have been granted.
In addition, in 2016, the provincial interdisciplinary inspection teams also inspected and fined 51 production and business establishments, paying the state treasury a total of VND 348,700,000.
