Nghe An: Many localities suffered heavy damage due to floods
(Baonghean.vn) - Heavy rains caused by storm No. 4 have flooded many houses, roads, rice fields and crops in the province; estimated damage is tens of billions of VND. Leaders of many localities have urgently gone to inspect and support people in coping with the floods.
In Nghia Dan districtHeavy rain caused some houses and many roads in Nghia Lien commune, Nghia Dan town, and Nghia Hong to be deeply flooded.
The whole district has over 1,100 km of rural roads damaged by landslides, over 474 hectares of rice, 34 hectares of corn, vegetables, industrial crops, fruit trees, 170 hectares of fish ponds damaged; estimated damage is about 7.5 billion VND.

Duc Anh
In Quy HopAccording to statistics, 384 houses were flooded, 16 houses had to be moved due to landslides. The floods also flooded and buried 975.5 hectares of rice, nearly 150 hectares of crops; over 100 hectares of fish ponds were flooded.

Many traffic routes in the area also suffered from subsidence and landslides, posing a danger to people and vehicles passing by. In particular, National Highway 48C through Bac Son Commune and National Highway 532 at Chau Cuong Point were eroded and deeply flooded, making them impassable.
The district has 105 flooded bridges. The Ke embankment project in Tho Hop commune was completely washed away; the road surface and drainage system of Ban Ca, Chau Quang commune were washed away; many telecommunication poles and low-voltage power poles were broken. The estimated damage is about 8.5 billion VND.

In Tan Ky,According to the report of the district's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, water pouring from upstream caused flash floods that submerged hundreds of households and some traffic routes in 7 hamlets of Tan Phu commune, Nghia Thai commune, Nghia Hoan commune, and Tan Hop commune.

On the morning of August 17, leaders of Tan Ky District People's Committee directly went down to inspect and direct localities flooded by the impact of storm No. 4, to overcome the consequences and soon stabilize life;
Instruct localities to continue monitoring weather developments and water levels at dams to proactively prevent; at the same time, organize dredging of drainage ditches to quickly drain water, minimizing damage to property and crops.
Cam Tu
In Quy Chau:Dozens of water wheels in Chau Tien commune were submerged in water. Many rice fields on both sides of the river near Chau Tien bridge were completely submerged.

At Que Phong: In Cam Muon commune, the spillway leading to Cam village was deeply flooded, so the households here were isolated. In the Mong village (Huoi Moi 1, Tri Le commune), 7 houses had their roofs blown off and were affected.
