(Baonghean.vn) - Currently entering the main spring rice harvest season. In Nghe An, many national highways and streets have been "turned" into drying yards for rice, straw, and stubble. People even place obstacles that are dangerous for traffic participants.

Every spring rice harvest season, many roads in Vinh City are occupied as places to dry rice. According to statistics from the Vinh City People's Committee, the city currently has over 1,600 hectares of spring rice, mainly concentrated in suburban communes, which are also the places where the most encroachment occurs. Nguyen Duy Trinh Street, Hung Dung Ward is one of the hot spots for roadside encroachment for rice drying in recent years. It is worth mentioning that this street has a large volume of traffic, posing a potential danger to road users as well as rice drying people. Photo: QA
The dike - tourist road along Lam River in Hung Hoa Commune (Vinh City) is no exception. People brazenly carry dozens of bags of rice to dry all over the path. Meanwhile, heavy trucks continuously circulate, making many people "shudder" because of the danger. Photo: QA
Even on Phan Cong Tich Street, people not only occupy half of the road to make a rice drying yard but also place dangerous obstacles. If you do not observe carefully, it can easily cause accidents. Photo: QA
Ms. Bui Thi Van - a resident of Hung Dung ward, was upset: Placing tree trunks, sharp objects, bricks and stones... right in the middle of the road obstructs traffic and endangers pedestrians. Photo: QA
On the Ta Lam dike, stretching from Hung Nguyen district to Nam Dan district, there are also many places where people have occupied them as rice drying yards. Photo: QA
Not only drying rice, on the national highways, there are still many people drying straw and stubble encroaching on the roadway. This is potentially dangerous because in hot weather, straw and stubble can easily catch fire and cause explosions. People even brazenly pluck rice right in the middle of Provincial Road 537B, through An Hoa Commune (Quynh Luu), obstructing traffic participants. Photo: Viet Hung
In Quynh Tan Commune, in front of the gate of Quynh Tan A Primary School, people drying rice encroached on National Highway 48E, making it difficult for students to move around after school. Photo: Viet Hung
