Nghe An: Group of young people flying and shaking in a hotel during the epidemic season

On June 7, 2021, the Drug Police Department of Nghe An Police said that the unit is detaining 2 subjects for the acts of "Organizing illegal use of drugs" and "Illegal possession of drugs".

The two arrested subjects are Nguyen Van Tuan (born in 1985), residing in Yen Quang hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An and Ho Sy Hung (born in 1985), residing in Block 1, Dien Chau town, Dien Chau district. In which, Tuan was detained for 2 acts: "Organizing illegal use of drugs" and "Illegal possession of drugs”; Hung was detained for "Organizing illegal use of drugs".

Previously, at around 5:30 a.m. on June 6, 2021, through professional activities, the police force discovered that at Room No. 1206, Muong Thanh Dien Chau Hotel (in Block 4, Dien Chau Town, Dien Chau District, Nghe An), a number of people were gathering to organize illegal drug use.

The working group of Team 2 of PC04 Department presided over and coordinated with Dien Chau District Police and the Drug Control Team of Nghe An Customs Department to discover and arrest 7 subjects including 4 men and 3 women in the act of "Organizing illegal use of drugs".

Initial evidence has been found: Nguyen Van Tuan and Ho Sy Hung rented a room at Muong Thanh Dien Chau hotel to organize a group of young people, including 4 men and 3 women, to illegally use drugs and get high.

At the scene, the working group discovered 02 round white ceramic plates, the surface of the first plate contained some white crystalline substance suspected to be the synthetic drug Ketamine, on the surface of the second plate there was also 01 small piece of pink solid crystalline substance suspected to be the synthetic drug ecstasy.

Expanding the case, at around 11 o'clock the same day, they clarified and seized from Nguyen Van Tuan a package containing many types of synthetic drugs including crystal meth, ecstasy, ketamine, ecstasy with a total weight of over 300 grams along with some tools for retailing drugs.

Nguyen Van Tuan's drug retailing methods were very sophisticated. In order to hide from the authorities, Tuan rented room 404, Sao Mai Hotel, Dien Thanh Commune, Dien Chau District, Nghe An to hide the drugs. Then, Tuan collaborated with Hung to rent room 1206, Muong Thanh Dien Chau Hotel for 3,500,000 VND/night to organize for drug users to party all night. Through that, Tuan was able to sell goods and satisfy his addiction and desire for fun.

It is worth mentioning that, according to an investigator, during the performance of their duties, the receptionist of Muong Thanh Dien Chau Hotel did not cooperate with the authorities, finding all sorts of reasons to refuse to open hotel rooms for crime fighting. It took the authorities more than an hour to storm the scene and catch the suspects red-handed.
