Nghe An strives to complete disbursement of 100% of public investment capital this year
(Baonghean.vn) - That is the information conveyed by Nghe An at the National Online Conference on deploying tasks, planning solutions and investments for the last 6 months of 2020 organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment on the morning of July 28 in Hanoi.
The conference was chaired from the Hanoi bridge by Comrade Nguyen Chi Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Planning and Investment. Also attending were representatives of the Departments and Divisions under the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the bridge from 63 provinces and cities.
In Nghe An, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the conference. Also attending were representatives of provincial departments, agencies and centers.

Opening the conference, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung presented the outstanding results of the industry's direction and management in the first 6 months of 2020, and emphasized that this is a very important conference of the industry to discuss and find solutions to promote socio-economic development in the last 6 months of the year.
Since the beginning of the year, along with directing the implementation of the 2020 plan, the industry has advised on developing the socio-economic development plan for 2021 and the 5-year period 2021-2025; strengthening solutions to promote public investment according to the Law on Public Investment; effectively managing official development assistance capital and foreign preferential loans; improving the bidding process and investment in the form of PPP; improving the investment and business environment and attracting foreign direct investment...

In addition, the industry also proactively advised and submitted 39/39 projects assigned by the Government, submitted to the National Assembly for approval 3 Laws and 3 Resolutions according to the Government's working regulations; advised and submitted to the Government and the Prime Minister for decision on a number of drastic direction and management solutions to promote public investment; removed difficulties and obstacles of the economy in the difficult context caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In order to well implement the socio-economic targets for the last 6 months of the year, at the conference, localities spoke and proposed solutions to remove difficulties in production and business, promote public investment, ensure social security, etc.
Based on reviewing and rebalancing capital sources, a representative of the Ministry of Planning and Investment said: From now until the end of the year, priority will be given to allocating capital to key projects, transitional projects, and counterpart capital for medium-term projects...
In Nghe An, despite many difficulties, the province achieved a growth rate of 2.69% in the first 6 months of 2020, among the top in the country. Agricultural production still maintained a growth rate of 4.98%, ensuring a stable life for rural areas. Budget revenue for the first 7 months is estimated at 8,348.9 billion VND, reaching 54.9% of the estimate and equal to 93.9% compared to the same period in 2019. The fields of culture, education, health, security, national defense and social security are guaranteed.
As of July 20, Nghe An has disbursed VND3,666 billion/VND5,697 billion, equivalent to 64%.

From now until the end of the year, to realize development goals, Nghe An strives to complete the disbursement of 100% of public investment capital as planned; resolutely transfer capital to projects with disbursement results that do not achieve results.
To achieve the above goal, in addition to the province's efforts, Nghe An also recommends that the Ministry of Planning and Investment continue to pay attention to allocating capital to implement key infrastructure projects connecting the economic zones of South Thanh Hoa - North Nghe An and South Nghe An and North Ha Tinh; continue to pay attention to and accompany the province in investing in supporting the socio-economic development of the Western Nghe An region./.
