Nghe An cooperates to organize Traffic Culture Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 24, in Vinh city, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with the National Traffic Safety Committee and the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Nghe An province to organize the opening ceremony of the "Youth with Traffic Culture" Festival and launch the Contest to Propose Solutions for "Application of Technology in Ensuring Traffic Order and Safety" 2022.
Attending the opening ceremony of the festival were comrades: Nguyen Hai Minh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Youth Solidarity Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union;
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Ho Van Tu - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police; Le Van Luong - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; representatives of the Traffic Police Department - Ministry of Transport; leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Department of Transport, Department of Justice, Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and accompanying units.

Festival“Youth with traffic culture”organized with the purpose of propagating and raising awareness of compliance with the Traffic Law, contributing to reducing traffic accidents among union members, youth and all classes of people. This is also an opportunity to orient young people to have good behavior, respect the law, contributing to building awareness of compliance with the law and cultural behavior when participating in traffic.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, comrade Nguyen Hai Minh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Youth Solidarity Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union emphasized that 2022 continues to be chosen by the Government as the Year of Traffic Safety with the theme "Building a culture of safe traffic associated with effective control of the COVID-19 epidemic" with 4 goals and 8 key groups of solutions.

To effectively implement the above objectives, the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union has identified the activities of the Youth Union participating in propaganda and maintaining traffic order and safety as a key task in the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement. At the same time, it is necessary to promote the implementation of solutions identified in the Project of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union participating in ensuring traffic order and safety in the period of 2019 - 2022.

In addition, it is necessary to continue to effectively implement the campaign "Youth with traffic culture" among cadres, union members, and children. Promote the role of the model "Traffic safety school gate","Safe ferry dock"; "Safe road-railway intersections"; youth teams and groups participating in regulating and maintaining traffic order; praising typical young people with achievements in participating in ensuring traffic safety.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, in coordination with the National Traffic Safety Committee, launched a contest to propose solutions for "Application of technology in ensuring traffic order and safety".

The contest aims to promote the pioneering, voluntary and creative role of union members and young people in implementing the Government's program "National Digital Transformation to 2025, with a vision to 2030"; raise awareness and capacity of young people in using digital platforms and digital applications to serve life, ensure traffic safety and order and prevent traffic congestion.

At the Festival and Competition launching ceremony today, Mr. Nguyen Hai Minh, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, called on union members and young people to promote their exemplary role, take the lead in implementing traffic safety laws, and actively participate in the Campaign "Youth with traffic culture" with specific and practical actions.

Within the framework of the festival, the teams: Youth handling incidents when traffic accidents occur; propaganda about traffic participation skills for passenger cars and long-distance vehicles; 360 traffic safety cameras recording beautiful images of traffic culture and traffic violations were introduced.
Activities were carried out immediately after the opening ceremony such as: Safe driving training; Painting exhibition with the theme "We and traffic culture"; Visiting and giving gifts to traffic accident victims and green - clean - beautiful - traffic safe roads.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee summarized and awarded prizes for the drawing contest with the theme "Stimulants for drivers" for children. At the same time, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the National Traffic Safety Committee and Honda Vietnam Company presented 400 standard helmets to union members, youth and students of Nghe An province.
