Nghe An: Lockdown of more than 200 households related to new Covid-19 infection in the community

Morning of November 2,Nghe An13 new Covid-19 infections were recorded, including 1 community case in Ngoc Son commune, Quynh Luu district.

After receiving the test results, Ngoc Son commune locked down the entire hamlet 7 in the area with a total of more than 200 households and about 1,000 people, set up checkpoints to control people entering and exiting, and sprayed disinfectant.

Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong - ChairmanPeople's Committee of Ngoc Son Communesaid: The patient is an electrical contractor, has a complicated epidemiological history, and has recently traveled to many localities inside and outside the district such as Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Vinh City. Currently, Ngoc Son commune has identified 76 F1s of this patient, including 67 F1s in the commune and 9 F1s outside the area.

Regarding testing, on November 1, the locality tested high-risk people who had direct contact with the patient. On November 2, the local health center will coordinate with the medical center to test all people in the locked-down area.

Regarding quarantine, Ngoc Son commune has sent F1 cases to centralized quarantine at 2 locations, including Ngoc Son Commune Kindergarten and a temporarily closed production facility in the area.

Here, the patient's sample was taken for a rapid test with a positive result. The patient's sample was then sent to Quang Khoi General Hospital for testing. On the morning of November 2, the result was confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
