(Baonghean.vn) - On December 13, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense issued Official Dispatch No. 16/CD-VPTT on responding to widespread cold air, severe cold, and severe cold.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, due to the impact of a very strong cold spell, from the morning of December 17, the North Central provinces are likely to experience widespread and prolonged severe cold, with temperatures ranging from 8-11 degrees Celsius, and lower in some mountainous areas.

Strengthen propaganda and guidance for livestock farming households on hygiene, strengthening barns, covering and keeping livestock warm, proactively stocking food to ensure prevention of hunger and cold; deploy plans to move free-range livestock to pens in necessary situations to ensure safety; provide guidance on disease prevention and control for livestock, poultry and aquatic products; cover, cover, water and fertilize to keep moisture for rice, vegetable, ornamental plant and perennial crop production; review and adjust the sowing and transplanting schedule to avoid periods of severe cold.
