Nghe An launches the 5th Education Quality Assessment Center in the country

On the morning of June 2, Vinh University held the launching ceremony of Vinh University Education Quality Assessment Center.

Attending the event were representatives of the Department of Testing and Education Quality Assessment - Ministry of Education and Training; Nghe An Department of Education and Training, leaders of Vinh University and universities and colleges in and outside the province.

The Center for Education Quality Assessment - Vinh University was established in the spirit of the Project on Building and Developing the Education Quality Assessment System for Higher Education and Vocational Colleges in the period 2011 - 2020 of the Ministry of Education and Training.

This is the 5th center in the country after 4 Education Quality Assessment Centers under Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges and Danang University, were established.

The Center's function is to provide public services on educational quality assessment; to advise and supervise the assurance and improvement of educational quality according to national, regional and international standards.

The establishment of the Center aims to contribute to enhancing the transparency and accountability of higher education institutions and vocational colleges towards state management agencies; providing accurate and reliable information on the quality of educational institutions and training programs for students, parents and employers.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Mai Van Trinh hoped that the center would be an ambassador, shouldering great responsibility in quality assessment, thereby improving the quality of education. The Director requested the school to quickly put the center into operation.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Education and Training awarded the decision to appoint Dr. Tran Dinh Quang as Director of the Center for Education Quality Assessment - Vinh University.

Also at the ceremony, the parties witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the center and the units.
