Nghe An: Strengthening screening of people coming to and returning from industrial parks

On the afternoon of May 16, Nghe An Department of Health issued Document No. 1730 to the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of districts, cities, towns, medical centers, and medical examination and treatment facilities.
The document contains content on strengthening management of people who have been to or returned from industrial parks with recorded Covid-19 cases and consolidating measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic at production and business establishments and industrial parks in the province.
The document states: In recent days, a large number of cases of the disease have been recorded nationwide.industrial parkThe number of cases is increasing rapidly, forming complex outbreaks in some localities.
To strengthen the prevention and control of Covid-19, the Department of Health requests the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone; the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of districts, cities, towns and related units to direct communes/wards/towns, industrial parks to urgently review all cases coming to/returning from industrial parks with recorded cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection in localities (Da Nang, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, ...) from May 1, 2021.

For cases arriving/returning from industrial zones with recorded cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection (not locked down or quarantined), make a medical declaration, organize quarantine at home, place of residence, dormitory for 21 days from the date of return to the locality, and organize sample collection on the 20th day.
For those who have been in contact with people returning from industrial zones in the area, they are required to self-monitor their health; follow the Ministry of Health's 5K recommendations; immediately notify the nearest medical facility if they have one of the following symptoms: fever, dry cough, difficulty breathing...
The Department of Health also requested production and business establishments to strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of epidemic prevention regulations at the workplace and assess the risk of Covid-19 infection according to the instructions in Decision No. 2194 dated May 27, 2020 of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.
High-risk production and business establishments must take immediate action; if they fail to do so, they must temporarily suspend production. Production and business establishments must self-assess their risks and update the website antoancovid.vn for monitoring by competent authorities.

The Department of Health also requires all workers in industrial parks in the area to make electronic health declarations; promote the role of community Covid-19 teams and local authorities in disseminating, inspecting and supervising compliance with epidemic prevention and control regulations by workers in boarding houses and dormitories for workers.
The Medical Centers of districts, cities and towns are responsible for advising the District Steering Committee to urgently activate tracing teams and self-management teams in the community to seriously review, verify information, make lists, organize medical declarations, and conduct epidemiological investigations immediately after receiving information related to the above-mentioned returnees; absolutely do not be subjective or negligent in the face of any developments of the epidemic.
Medical centers of districts, cities and towns advise the District Steering Committee to strengthen the inspection and supervision of the implementation of home quarantine and the place of residence of citizens; absolutely do not let citizens leave the quarantine area without permission; support and guide production and business establishments and industrial parks in the area on medical quarantine flow, and set up temporary medical quarantine rooms when there are suspected cases of Covid-19.
Medical examination and treatment facilities serving workers in industrial parks should strengthen direction and inspection of the organization of triage, medical declaration, and screening of people coming for medical examination and treatment./.
