Vote to approve the list of works and projects requiring land acquisition

Based on the report of the Provincial People's Committee presented at the meeting and the results of the examination by the Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council Committees before the meeting, at this meeting, the Provincial People's Council delegates reviewed, discussed and voted to approve the draft Resolution approving the list of works and projects requiring land recovery in Clause 3, Article 62 of the Land Law.

Accordingly, there are 12 lists of works and projects requiring land acquisition with a total area of ​​27.23 hectares, in 8 districts, cities and towns: Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Nghia Dan, Thanh Chuong, Anh Son, Vinh city, Cua Lo town and Hoang Mai town.

The Provincial People's Council also considered and approved the draft Resolution on changing the purpose of using rice-growing land, protective forest land, and special-use forest land according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 58 of the Land Law to implement investment projects in the province.

Specifically, the Provincial People's Council approved the change of use purpose of 11.76 hectares of rice land and 2.32 hectares of protective forest land to implement 7 projects in 6 districts and towns: Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Nghia Dan, Thanh Chuong, Anh Son and Hoang Mai town.

The Provincial People's Council also reviewed and approved the draft Resolution on the policy of converting forest use to other purposes according to Clause 3, Article 20 of the Forestry Law to implement projects and works in the province.

Specifically, the Provincial People's Council approved the policy of changing the purpose of use of more than 58 hectares of production forests to implement 4 projects in 3 districts and towns: Nghi Loc, Nghia Dan, and Hoang Mai town.

At the same time, it is requested that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on the basis of promoting and inheriting the achieved results, focus highly on leadership, direction, and administration, overcome all difficulties and challenges to successfully complete the goals, targets, and tasks of 2020 set out in the Provincial People's Council resolution and prepare for the plan for the period 2020 - 2025.
