Nghe An passes Resolution regulating Covid-19 testing prices

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 9, at the 4th Session of the Provincial People's Council, delegates voted to pass the Resolution on regulating the price of SARS-CoV-2 testing services not covered by the Health Insurance Fund in Nghe An province.

Accordingly, this resolution ofProvincial People's CouncilRegulations on prices for SARS-CoV-2 testing services, including sample collection, sample preservation, testing and return of test results, are not covered by the Health Insurance Fund in Nghe An province.

This Resolution does not apply to cases of sampling, sample preservation, implementation and return of results.testSARS-CoV-2 in the community is covered by the budget according to the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases.

The subjects of application of this resolution include:

- State medical examination and treatment facilities under the management authority of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee (except public medical facilities providing preventive medical services).

- State medical examination and treatment facilities under Ministries and Central agencies located in Nghe An province (except medical examination and treatment facilities under the Ministry of Health and special-class hospitals, class I hospitals under Ministries and Central agencies located in the province).

- Organizations and individuals in need of testingSARS-CoV-2at state medical examination and treatment facilities in Nghe An province.

Specify specific prices

The Resolution on pricing for SARS-CoV-2 testing services includes the following three contents:

- Price for rapid SARS-CoV-2 test, maximum payment not exceeding 109,700 VND/test.

- The price for SARS-CoV-2 testing using automatic or semi-automatic immunoassay machines, the maximum payment is not more than VND 186,600/test.

- Price for SARS-CoV-2 testing using Realtime RT-PCR technique: in case of single sample, the maximum payment shall not exceed VND 518,400/test; in case of pooled samples, the maximum payment shall not exceed the price for pooled sample testing specified in Section IV, Column 2, Appendix issued with this Resolution.

The prices of the above services include direct costs and salary costs as prescribed in column 1, section I, Appendix issued with this Resolution plus the cost of SARS-CoV-2 testing reagents as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 2, Circular No. 16/2021/TT-BYT dated November 8, 2021 of the Minister of Health regulating the price of SARS-CoV-2 testing services.
