Nghe An: Highlights on June 26

*Afternoon of June 26,Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Nghe An provinceorganize the 3rd Congress, term 2022-2027.

The Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Nghe An province was established on September 30, 2008. The Association has played a good role as a bridge for Japanese partners to cooperate with Nghe An. In particular, the Association has established long-term, regular relationships with 5 Japanese organizations and individuals. Through these partners, Nghe An province has received timely and valuable support from Japan in many different fields.

Speaking at the Congress, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Nam Dinh praised and acknowledged the positive results that the Association has achieved in developing the relationship between Nghe An and Japan. In the new term, comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh suggested that the Association promote the achieved results, be proactive, flexible and creative in people's foreign affairs; constantly innovate content and form in the field of foreign information. In particular, the Association needs to promote its role as a bridge between Nghe An and Japan in areas such as trade, labor export, study abroad, and tourism. On the province's side, it will regularly monitor and support all activities of the Association, contributing to strengthening the tradition of cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in general, and Nghe An and Japan in particular.

The Congress elected 22 members of the Executive Committee for the 2022-2027 term. Comrade Hoang Phu Hien - Director of the Department of Transport, member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee was elected as Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Nghe An province for the 2022-2027 term.

According to the Department of Fisheries, in the first 6 months of 2022, Nghe An's total aquatic product output is estimated at 104,180 tons, with an estimated value of more than VND 2,250 billion. Of which, marine exploitation reached nearly 101 thousand tons, equal to 55% of the annual plan, equal to 105.36% over the same period last year; inland exploitation reached 3,344 tons, equal to 67% of the annual plan, equal to 104.14% over the same period last year.

However, currently in Block 1, Quy Hop town, there is a young engineer Hoang Van Dai who has successfully grown grapes, promising to open up new prospects for economic development in the mining land in the Western region of Nghe An.

Early 2020,greenhouse projectMr. Dai's project was supported by the province with 150 million VND through the district's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Along with mobilizing capital from family and friends with a total amount of more than 1 billion VND, he invested in a greenhouse with an area of ​​more than 3,000m2.². The first year, Mr. Dai invested in growing melons and lilies, which are also difficult and seasonal crops. At the end of that year, after deducting expenses, Mr. Dai earned over 100 million VND.
