Commencement of restoration of the Monument 'Uncle Ho with Youth'
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 26, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Youth Union of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV) to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the restoration and embellishment of the "Uncle Ho with Youth" Monument at Nguyen Tat Thanh Park (Vinh City).

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were comrades: Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; Le Van Luong - Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; Tran Phuong - Deputy General Director of BIDV Bank and comrades representing the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, the Vinh City Culture, Sports and Communications Center; the Provincial Business Bloc Delegation, Vinh City Youth Union and related units. Monument "Uncle Ho with youth"Construction began on March 26, 1989 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Youth Activity Center, Nghe Tinh province (today's Nguyen Tat Thanh Park). It is a national youth project to celebrate the success of the 5th National Youth Union Congress and to celebrate the 100th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh in 1990.

This was the only monument of Uncle Ho in Nghe Tinh province at that time. The monument “Uncle Ho with the youth” has great historical significance, a place where the sacred feelings of children and people of the whole country for Uncle Ho converge. However, after a long time of construction, many items at the monument “Uncle Ho with the youth” have not been renovated or restored.

The restoration and embellishment of the Monument is a necessary and meaningful activity to welcome the Congresses of the Youth Union at all levels, towards the 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province, the 12th National Youth Union Congress, term 2022 - 2027.
At the same time, this is also a project to welcome the success of the 19th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV).

According to the plan, the project to restore and embellish Uncle Ho's Statue was implemented by the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union in coordination with the BIDV Bank Youth Union with a total cost of 500 million VND.

The project promises to be a place for many recreational and community activities for children and people of Vinh city after being completed./.
