Nghe An promotes consumption of industrial products and craft villages
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An currently has 157 craft villages, over 690 cooperatives and more than 8,000 production and business enterprises operating with a variety of products. Therefore, promoting the consumption of industrial and handicraft products is extremely necessary.
On the morning of November 22, the Department of Industry and Trade held a conference to promote the consumption of industrial products and craft villages in the province; Opening a point to introduce and sell industrial products, handicrafts, and OCOP products. Attending were representatives of the Domestic Market Department - Ministry of Industry and Trade; leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, districts, cities, towns and a number of enterprises and craft villages in the province.

Nghe An currently has 157 craft villages, over 690 cooperatives and more than 8,000 production and trading enterprises operating with a variety of products. To promote the consumption of industrial and handicraft products, the Industry and Trade sector has recently organized many activities to connect supply and demand, promote trade, domestic and international fairs and exhibitions; and promote information and propaganda to introduce and promote the image of enterprises and products.
Through that, from 2016 to now, there have been over 230 memorandums of understanding on business cooperation signed, from which 126 product consumption contracts have been formed, typically turmeric starch, Nam Dan soy sauce, fish sauce, oranges, medicinal tea, vegetables, tubers and fruits. Through the electronic trading floor 37Nghean.com has supported nearly 450 businesses and traders to register and set up booths, attracting over 73 million visits, introducing and offering over 3,400 products and services.

At the conference, delegates discussed a number of contents: managing product quality associated with building product brands for Nghe An enterprises, building a value chain linking production with processing and consumption of agricultural and food products today...
Raising the issue of how to have a lot of goods, quality goods, Mr. Phan Thanh Mien - Chairman of Nghe An Small and Medium Enterprises Association pointed out the current situation in the area that there are many products but there are no goods to sell, and the quantity cannot be guaranteed when there are orders. Concerned about food safety and quality, consumers all have the idea of "home-made goods", home-grown vegetables, home-raised chickens - there are no commercial products.
Every person and every business must be aware of building a brand for their products. In production, it is not just about introducing but there must be a roadmap for building a brand, with the first and last stages: where is the technology, how is it produced, product packaging... It is recommended that the Department of Industry and Trade and the Department of Science and Technology - the two main units, further strengthen the management of product quality, promote intellectual property protection for products, and improve business ethics...

Speaking at the conference, some businesses also hoped that state agencies would pay attention to supporting businesses in building product protection, linking product consumption, and having solutions to promote Nghe An's agricultural industry...
On this occasion, the Department of Industry and Trade also opened a point to introduce and sell OCOP products; and signed a memorandum of cooperation on product consumption between partners and units.
