Nghe An rewards the case of catching 500kg of fireworks disguised in a car

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 3, the People's Committee and the Nghe An Provincial Police organized a ceremony to commend the 126P Project Team, led by the Environmental Police Department in coordination with the Traffic Police Department and the Provincial Police, for fighting and arresting a subject who illegally bought, sold, and transported nearly 500kg of various types of fireworks.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee presented flowers to congratulate the 126P Project Team and awarded 30 million VND to the project team.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the intelligence and bravery of the Task Force and officers and soldiers participating in solving the case.

Previously, on December 31, 2016, in the area on National Highway 46, in Nam Dan Town (Nam Dan District), the Working Group of the Environmental Police Department coordinated with Team 46 of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police to discover a truck with Lao license plate UN 0876 driven by Nguyen Ba Thin, born in 1989, residing in Thanh Phong Commune (Thanh Chuong District) transporting nearly 500kg of various types of firecrackers, hidden in the truck's trunk, tires and gasoline tank.

The subject bought the above fireworks abroad, then transported them back to the country for consumption./.
