Nghe An receives 10 thousand doses of lumpy skin disease vaccine
(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, lumpy skin disease in buffaloes and cows has spread to 12 districts, towns and cities in Nghe An. To prevent the disease, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine has just received the first batch of lumpy skin disease vaccine for buffaloes and cows with 10,000 doses.

According to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, as of March 25, Nghe An has 12 districts, towns and cities with buffaloes and cows infected with this disease: Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Nghia Dan, Tan Ky, Do Luong, Anh Son, Quy Chau, Hoang Mai town, Thai Hoa town and Vinh city. Of which, Dien Chau district has the most with 9 communes with buffaloes and cows infected with this disease.

To promptly prevent lumpy skin disease in cattle, on the afternoon of March 24, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine received 10,000 doses ofVaccineLumpy skin disease prevention for buffalo and cattle imported from Türkiye.
It is known that the province does not have a support mechanism, so localities and breeders proactively source funds to buy vaccines to vaccinate cattle and buffaloes.
"It's spring, high humidity, flies and mosquitoes thrive, which are intermediate parasites that cause disease. Therefore, to prevent lumpy skin disease in cattle and buffalo, people need to vaccinate and spray insecticides to kill flies and mosquitoes...
