Nghe An receives 34,000 doses of Moderna Covid-19 vaccine for children aged 5 to 11
(Baonghean.vn) - Vaccinations for children from 5 to 11 years old will begin in order from older children to younger children. It is expected that by the end of this week, some localities will begin to vaccinate children from 5 to 11 years old against Covid-19.
Information from Nghe An Center for Disease Control: This afternoon (April 18), Nghe An received 34,000 doses of Moderna vaccine to vaccinate children from 5 to 11 years old against Covid-19 from the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (Ministry of Health) (calculated according to the dose of 0.25ml).

With the Moderna vaccine, children are injected with 0.25 ml/dose; this vaccine is injected from 6 to under 12 years old; the interval between the first and second injections is 4 weeks. The transportation, storage, and vaccination time of the Moderna vaccine for children from 5 to 11 years old is 31 days.
After receiving it, tomorrow (April 19), Nghe An Center for Disease Control will distribute this number of vaccines to 21 districts, cities, and towns to carry out vaccination immediately according to plan.
Vaccinations for children aged 5 to 11 years old will begin in order from older children to younger children. It is expected that by the end of this week, some localities will begin vaccinating children aged 5 to 11 against Covid-19; early next week, vaccinations for children will take place simultaneously in the province.
Nghe An province sets a goal: In 2022, the whole province will complete vaccination for children aged 5 to 11 years old to ensure community immunity coverage, contributing to the safe opening of schools. Specifically, over 85% of children aged 5 to 11 years old in the locality will be fully vaccinated with 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
