Nghe An deploys defense area exercise mission in 2018

At the conference, the Provincial Party Standing Committee announced the Decision to establish the Steering Committee for the KVPT drill and the district-level PCBL-TKCN drill in 2018; and assigned specific tasks to the members of the steering committee.

Delegates attending the conference discussed and evaluated the advantages, disadvantages, and experiences drawn from the practical implementation of the 2017 provincial and district defense area exercise.

Last year, the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee promoted democracy, intelligence, directed and led the armed forces and departments, branches, sectors, organizations and localities participating in the drill to thoroughly grasp and do well all preparations and practice drills.

The outstanding achievements in the exercise were the construction of a basic evacuation command post, a number of defense works, and economic and defense works that could be used for a long time; a complete system of documents according to regulations; and the contents of the exercise ensured absolute safety for people and weapons and equipment. The results of the exercise were assessed by the central ministries, branches, and the Military Region 4 Command as having excellently completed the task.

Through the exercise, it has contributed to raising the sense of responsibility, capacity for consulting and coordinating; leadership capacity of Party committees at all levels, authorities and armed forces of the province in performing the task of firmly protecting the defense area of ​​Nghe An province, meeting the requirements of the task in the current new situation.

The conference deployed the tasks of KVPT drills and district-level PCLB-TKCN drills in 2018. According to the plan, in 2018, Nghe An province has 6 districts performing KVPT drills and 1 district performing PCBL-TKCN drills.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh emphasized: “To lead and direct the successful completion of the KVPT drill and the district-level PCBL-TKCN drill in 2018, the members of the Steering Committee for the KVPT drill and the PCBL-TKCN drill and the standing agency of the Steering Committee, the Provincial Military Command, need to promote their roles and responsibilities, take the lead and coordinate with relevant agencies to guide departments, branches, sectors, organizations and districts to do a good job of preparing and practicing the drill.

Districts participating in the drill need to proactively do a good job of building a system of drill documents according to regulations; develop plans, practice live combat to protect defense areas and prevent and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, closely following the characteristics and actual situation in the locality; invest budget to build drill command posts and defense works according to regulations, ensuring long-term and effective use...".
