Nghe An posthumously awarded Certificates of Merit to two traffic officials who died in an accident.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 27, comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited the family to present the Certificate of Merit of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to 2 traffic officials who died in the accident.
On July 27, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong signed Decision No. 3377/QD-UBND to award Certificates of Merit to Mr. Thai Huy Hao - Deputy Head of Technical Planning Department, Traffic Economic Management Board, under Nghe An Department of Transport and Mr. Pham Van Chung - Deputy Director of Trung Tin Joint Stock Company for their brave actions in performing the task of inspecting, responding to, and overcoming the subsidence and landslide of traffic roads during storm No. 2 in the mountainous area of western Nghe An on July 17, 2017.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong shared the pain and great loss with the two families and hoped that the two families would overcome the pain and take care of the children of the two adult officials.

Previously, on July 17, 2017, due to the impact of storm No. 2, Nghe An Department of Transport coordinated with the Vietnam Road Administration, Road Management Department 2 and maintenance management units to regularly inspect, handle, and respond to landslides and traffic jams on roads in the western region of Nghe An, including National Highway 16.
While traveling on Highway 16, due to the heavy rain and slippery road, the car carrying Mr. Thai Huy Hao and Mr. Pham Van Chung lost control and plunged into a ravine in the Xop Chao area, Dong Van commune, Que Phong district. Both died on the spot.
Currently, Nghe An Department of Transport is proposing to posthumously award martyr titles to two traffic officers who were in the accident.
