Nghe An handles 235 cases of alcohol concentration violations in the first 2 days of September 2nd holiday
In 2 days (August 31 and September 1), the Traffic Police of Nghe An Province handled 235 cases of alcohol concentration violations. The special task force handled 26 cases.
According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police), in 2 days (August 31 and September 1), the Traffic Police force organized 346 patrols and controls with 1,370 officers participating. Thereby, 749 cases of administrative violations of traffic order and safety were detected and recorded. Of these, 235 cases were alcohol concentration violations.

The Special Task Force alone organized 3 shifts, with 15 officers coordinating with the police of districts, cities and towns, and detected and handled 26 cases of alcohol concentration violations, including 2 cars and 24 motorbikes.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Nam Hong - Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province Police: This year's National Day holiday on September 2 lasts 4 days, people have activities to travel, visit relatives; workers return to their hometowns for the holiday; at the same time, the peak month for traffic safety begins with students across the country entering the new school year.

It is forecasted that the traffic volume of people and vehicles will increase dramatically, potentially causing traffic jams and accidents. Therefore, 100% of officers and soldiers of the Traffic Police force of units and localities will be on duty and patrol 24/7. In addition to ensuring traffic safety and order, regulating traffic so that people can travel conveniently and safely, the patrolling, controlling and handling of violations, especially alcohol concentration violations, are seriously carried out by the Traffic Police force of units and localities in the whole province, and the Special Task Force, with the spirit of "no forbidden zones, no exceptions".
Implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 81/CD-TTg dated August 20, 2024 on ensuring traffic order and safety during the National Day holiday on September 2 and the peak month of traffic safety for students going to school; implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial People's Committee, Nghe An Provincial Police established a special working group, together with the Traffic Police force of the whole province to simultaneously patrol, control, check and resolutely handle cases of alcohol concentration violations when participating in traffic.
