On September 3, train stations, bus stations, and airports in Nghe An province welcomed a large number of passengers. Many Nghe An residents and tourists departed to return to their workplaces and residences after the holiday.

According to the reporter's records at noon on September 3, the atmosphere at Vinh station was bustling; the SE7 - SE8 trains departed on the Vinh - Hanoi route, although the departure times were 11:30 and 12:20, many people arrived earlier to complete the procedures and proactively wait for the train.

Ms. Phan Hong Lien, Hung Tan Commune, Hung Nguyen said: This year's holiday, my family returned to our hometown to visit relatives and family. On the return day, August 31, the North-South Expressway was jammed for many hours, so the whole family decided to take the train back to Hanoi. Luckily, there were still tickets for this afternoon trip, because all the Vinh - Hanoi routes tonight were sold out, and we couldn't get tickets without booking in advance.

According to Vinh Railway Station, September 3rd was the day with the highest number of passengers during the holiday, with over 3,000 people getting on and off the train, 5 times more than normal days. In addition to the North-South Thong Nhat trains stopping at Vinh Station, there are also regional trains such as Vinh - Hanoi, Vinh - Da Nang... all fully booked. Despite the surge in passengers, there was basically no congestion or jostling at Vinh Station. Passengers getting on and off the train were given detailed instructions by station staff to ensure safety.

At Bac Vinh bus station on the afternoon of September 3, dozens of buses gathered to pick up passengers. Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, representative of the sleeper bus on the Vinh - Hue route, said: Our buses were basically fully booked since yesterday. Up to now, there are still customers calling to book buses but there are no seats left because this is a peak day. Passengers on the bus are mainly Nghe An students enrolling in schools in Hue University.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tu - Head of Bac Vinh bus station said: There are currently more than 200 registered vehicles operating at the station. Through a survey of bus companies, on September 3, many vehicles were basically fully booked, especially on the routes Vinh - Hanoi, Vinh - Hue, Vinh - Hai Phong, Vinh - Da Nang... Of which, about 40% of passengers went at noon, and about 60% went at night. If there is an overload, the unit has a plan to increase and connect more vehicles to better serve the travel needs of people after the holiday.

At Vinh airport, the number of passengers increased sharply at noon on September 3. The most crowded flight was VietJet Air's VJ215, departing at 1:30 p.m. in Vinh and arriving in Ho Chi Minh City at 3:30 p.m., which was sold out. A representative of Vinh International Airport said that on September 3, there were more than 20 flights taking off and landing at Vinh airport with about 5,000 passengers, higher than usual. In particular, the main flights were Vinh - Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh - Hanoi, Vinh - Buon Ma Thuot, Vinh - Cam Ranh...

Not only inter-provincial passenger transport but also other intra-provincial means of transport such as buses, taxis... also had a significant increase in the number of passengers on the last day of the holiday. Many Vinh city residents, after the holiday, returned to their hometowns in districts and towns in Nghe An province and gradually returned to the city on September 3. The authorities have made plans to ensure traffic safety, especially during rush hour in the evening of September 3.
