Suspecting he was bewitched, an old couple went to the fortune teller's house and murdered him.

On November 11, Dong Van District Police (Ha Giang) announced that they had arrested Trang Thi So (54 years old) and her husband Hang Nhi Co (56 years old) for murder.

Initial information from Ha Giang police said that on the afternoon of October 10, Mr. Sung Sia Lu (64 years old), a herbalist and fortune teller in Sang Tung commune, Dong Van district, was murdered.

The initial cause was determined to be because of suspicion that Mr. Sung Sia Lu had cast a "ghost of the Five Seas" that made Trang Thi So sick and So's daughter had an incurable eye disease, so So discussed with her husband to go to Mr. Lu's house to kill Mr. Lu.

Seeing her husband hesitantly disagree, Mrs. So said that he just needed to go along to feel less scared, and that she would take care of the "action". When they arrived at Mr. Lu's house, after a few words, Mrs. So used a knife to slash the victim many times, causing his death.
