Comprehensive innovation of medical examination and treatment system

The report at the Conference showed that in 2023, overcoming difficulties and challenges, the hospital exceeded the assigned targets and plans; on average, examining 2,500 - 2,600 people/day, inpatients from 800 - 900 people/day, surgical patients 30 - 35 cases/day, many severe cases of type I and special.

The medical examination and treatment system in the entire hospital has been comprehensively renovated, developed synchronously and modernly in both quantity and quality at both facilities; from facilities, infrastructure, machinery, equipment to staff, medical staff and professionalism in medical examination and treatment activities.

Many new specialized techniques continue to be deployed at the two facilities such as: Total gastrectomy and colon resection due to cancer; Surgery for pelvic floor diseases; other surgeries on: ENT; trauma and neurosurgery; obstetrics and gynecology...; Deploying continuous blood filtration in emergency care for patients; selective nerve plexus anesthesia under ultrasound guidance; platelet-rich plasma extraction in the treatment of joint diseases...; Perfecting coronary angiography and reading techniques on a 256-slice CT scanner,...

The quality of medical examination and treatment services is regularly directed by the Party Committee, improving the level of expertise equally between the two facilities, the hospital brand continues to be affirmed; always a reliable address for medical examination and treatment for people in Vinh city and districts in and outside the province. The hospital quality continues to be at the top of the public medical examination and treatment system in the province; the hospital quality result at the end of the year reached 4.27.

Thanks to the thorough application of information technology in all medical examination and treatment activities, creating the best conditions for patients when carrying out medical examination and treatment procedures, the patient satisfaction index through weekly surveys is always high (over 95%).

At the Conference, after listening to the staff and employees' comments on the regulations, recommendations and proposals, the Hospital's Board of Directors answered questions and discussed measures to improve working conditions, improve the lives of employees; solutions to implement the unit's development plan in 2024.

Launching emulation movement to improve hospital quality

The conference determined the key tasks for 2024, accordingly, focusing on leading and directing the development of the Vinh City General Hospital Development Project for the period 2024 - 2028; Closely following the contents of the Autonomy Plan (after approval), the Professional Development Plan for 2024 to effectively lead, direct and organize implementation; Directing departments/offices to fully develop operating procedures for each group of patients in each separate department, to ensure consistency and professionalism in medical examination and treatment activities; Reviewing and rearranging departments under facility 2; supplementing necessary human resources; retraining skills (medical examination, consultation, treatment, ...) for medical staff; purchasing additional machinery and equipment to serve patients at facility 2, to attract patients to come for examination and treatment here, reducing the burden on facility 1; Direct relevant departments and units to promptly implement projects to repair and renovate some degraded construction items at the two facilities from the capital provided by the Provincial People's Committee; create a green-clean-beautiful hospital environment to serve patients.

To contribute to the successful implementation of the planning goals and political tasks in 2024, the Hospital's Board of Directors launched an emulation movement among all cadres, employees and workers; aiming to improve leadership and management capacity to build and meet the standards of a Grade I General Hospital with a structure of 800 beds (both facilities); hospital quality reaching 4.30; comprehensively developing the medical examination and treatment system, improving professional qualifications.
