According to information from the German newspaper Tam Guong on December 2, Salah Abdeslam and his accomplices may have fled to Germany or passed through Germany to go to another country.
According to the newspaper, German, French, Dutch and Belgian authorities are currently working together to capture seven suspects involved in the bloody attack in Paris.
A secret German police document says investigators have evidence that the wanted men may have fled to Germany, and are still in the country or may have fled to another country. Two days after the Paris attacks, a security camera spotted one of the men at a parking spot on the A4 near Frechen in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The man was driving a stolen dark blue BMW with Belgian license plates towards the German city of Cologne.
Belgian Salah Abdeslam, also known as Yassine Baghli, is the most wanted man. The 26-year-old rented a VW Polo to carry out the attack on the Bataclan concert hall in Paris. Abdeslam is believed to have fled Belgium with Mohamed A., 30, who is believed to have left Belgium for Germany, France or Luxembourg. The German Interior Ministry has not yet commented on whether the wanted men are in Germany.
In a related development, on December 2, Belgian police arrested two suspects for questioning in connection with the Paris attacks after conducting a series of manhunts for key suspects.
In a statement, the Belgian federal prosecutor confirmed: "This morning (December 2) five houses were searched in the Brussels area in connection with the investigation into the fugitive Mohamed Abrini and Ahmed Dahmani, who is being held in Turkey."
Dahmani, a Belgian citizen of Moroccan origin, is believed to have surveyed attack targets in Paris and was arrested in Türkiye while trying to reach Syria./.
