German MP Urges Europe to Prepare for NATO Dissolution
(Baonghean.vn) - European countries need to overcome their desire for confrontation and end their bloc mentality to maintain peace, security and stability. That is the opinion expressed by Left Party MP Sevim Dagdelen in an interview with the Global Times.
According to her, the policy pursued by former German Chancellor Willy Brandt can be a good example in this situation. MP Dagdelen noted that a peaceful balance of interests is now the only way out of the "escalation spiral". The German Bundestag MP fears the risk of World War III due to the supply of weapons to Kiev.

"Although today this may seem unthinkable to many in Germany, our long-term goal is to dissolve NATO and replace it with a collective security system oriented towards disarmament and cooperation," the German MP explained.
Ms. Dagdelen also emphasized that despite all the commitments, NATO is by no means a defense alliance, because for many years the alliance's member states have placed their top priority on economic and geopolitical interests, which they pursue without consideration.
On the other hand, the EU must stop following the US strategy because without taking into account Russia's interests, it will be impossible to achieve peace in Europe. Giving up confrontation is the first thing to do right now, - the German parliamentarian concluded./.
