Nghia Dan: Support commercial sweet potato seeds for farmers in hamlets under area 135
(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, Nghia Dan district coordinated with the district's Plant Cultivation and Plant Protection Station to give commercial sweet potato seeds to 40 disadvantaged households in Lap Xuan hamlet, Nghia Lien commune.

Lap Xuan 1 Hamlet, Nghia Lien Commune (Nghia Dan) is a beneficiary of the 135 program, with over 90% of the population being ethnic minorities, and their lives still face many difficulties. After receiving proposals from families, seedlings were transferred to households participating in the sweet potato planting model, on an area of 3 hectares with a total investment of 70 million VND. Each household is also supported with fertilizers and pesticides; and is advised by the district's Plant Cultivation and Plant Protection Station on planting, care and harvesting techniques.

Over the years, Nghia Dan has mainly supported the construction of roads, schools and cultural houses. In 2018, it supported 36 projects with 12.3 billion VND. Regarding plants and animals, the main breeds are cows and pigs; in 2017, the district supported 229 cows and pigs; in 2018, it supported 151 calves and plant varieties.
