To harvest the fallen rice fields, farmers have to spend a lot of time and effort. The cost of renting a combine harvester is also more expensive.
To support some families in especially difficult circumstances, local people and youth in the district organized voluntary labor, harvesting and threshing rice to help these families.

In Cat Van commune, local youth mobilized many youth union members to harvest rice to help Mrs. Tran Thi Lam's family in hamlet 1. During the tornado on May 9, the entire rice field of Mr. Thao's family collapsed in the middle of the deep field. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Binh - Secretary of Thanh Lien Commune Youth Union shared: In the locality, many households' rice crops were broken, while the youth volunteer force was thin, so the Commune Youth Union had to consider choosing some families with special circumstances to help.
In Vo Liet commune, officials and people of Hoa Son hamlet have just joined hands to harvest rice for Mr. Duong Van Kha's family. Mr. Kha's rice field was swept away by a tornado and lay flat on the mud. In the middle of the harvest season, when the family was without people, the couple had to go to the South to get treatment and replace Mr. Kha's thigh bone.

Mr. Hoang Chinh - Secretary of the hamlet's Youth Union said: Faced with the difficult situation of Mr. Kha's family, Hoa Son hamlet officials called on local people to join hands to help his family.
