After the recent Lunar New Year, Mr. Le Van Luong bought a plow for 24 million VND to plow the fields for his family and also to work for other villagers. The entire amount of money to buy the machine was saved by his family after many years of working as a laborer away from home. Previously, applying mechanization to agricultural production was something that the Dan Lai people had never thought of. Photo: Quang An

In addition to growing rice, Quàng Thị Luyến’s family has learned how to grow winter crops to improve their family’s meals, and some vegetables have also been sold to earn extra money to cover their daily expenses. According to Mr. Lê Văn Điệp, a police officer of Bá Hạ village, most families now know how to fence their gardens to grow vegetables. Photo: Quang An
