According to the design, the plant will provide clean water for 900 households (3,500 people); the plan is to put it into use after 12 months. However, after nearly 4 years of construction, the water supply project has not been completed, some items are unfinished.
Present at the Dien Minh Water Plant project, observing the reservoir area, we saw many of the paving slabs along the shore were peeling and crumbling. The cement floor near the water tank had many overlapping cracks extending all the way to the reservoir.
According to people's feedback, the width and depth of the trenches for the water pipes to the hamlets have not yet met the original design.

Regarding the above situation, Mr. Hoang Trong Phuc - Chairman of Dien Minh Commune People's Committee, Dien Chau District said: The reason for the damage to the clean water plant is due to the storm in 2018 that caused landslides and damage to some items. In particular, the water pipeline was designed before the construction of rural traffic projects, so up to now, some sections of the water pipe have not been properly laid. The commune has requested the construction unit to quickly fix the problem.

The project is behind schedule, while some parts have deteriorated. This makes the locals very worried, because they contributed 40% of the construction costs of this project.
Currently, most people here are having to use rainwater and well water.
