Song Lam Cement Factory operates the second clinker production line
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 9, in Bai Son commune, Do Luong district, Song Lam Cement Plant of The Vissai Cement Group held a furnace firing ceremony, putting the second clinker production line into operation. Attending the ceremony was comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

With the firing of the kiln to put the clinker production line No. 2 into operation, Song Lam Cement Plant has completed the construction of phase 1 after 16 months of receiving the transfer of the Do Luong cement plant project. According to the plan, after the 6-day firing ceremony, the clinker production line No. 2 will produce products and is expected to contribute to increasing the total capacity of Vissai Group in 2016 to 12.9 million tons.
Song Lam Cement Plant is a key project of Nghe An province, built with a capacity of 18,000 tons/day. In which, phase 1 (from 2015 - 2017) invested in 2 production lines with a total capacity of 12,000 tons of clinker/day (equivalent to 4 million tons of cement/year).

This project, along with cement production, will also create jobs for about 2,000 workers. Phase 2 (from 2017 to 2020) will complete the third line with a capacity of 6,000 tons of clinker/day.
Along with the completion of phase 1 of the Song Lam cement factory, The Vissai Group is currently speeding up the construction progress of the phase 2 factory expansion project. The cement grinding station complex with a capacity of 3.8 million tons/year and the international seaport in Nghi Thiet are also being urgently constructed by the group to keep up with the schedule.

The cement grinding station is expected to be put into operation in December 2016 and the 70,000-ton ship can operate at The Vissai seaport in early 2017./.
