The family church of revolutionary Tran Dinh San is ranked as a provincial historical relic.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 23, at Tan Hoa hamlet, Trung Phuc Cuong commune, Nam Dan district, local authorities and the Tran Dinh clan (branch 2) held a ceremony to receive the Provincial Historical Relic Ranking Certificate for the Tran Dinh clan temple (branch 2).
The Tran Dinh family (branch 2), in Trung Phuc Cuong commune (Nam Dan) is a family withrevolutionary tradition. Typical examples include comrade Tran Dinh San and Vietnamese Heroic Mother Dang Thi Phiet. Among them, comrade Tran Dinh San (also known by the aliases Tran, Sinh, Cuu), born in 1907, joined the revolution very early. From 1927, he became a member of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association and by May 1930, he became a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

In June 1930, comrade Tran Dinh San became the first Secretary of the Nam Kim General Committee (with 6 Party cells) and Secretary of the Duong Lieu Party cell (including 2 villages Duong Lieu and Trung Can, belonging to Nam Kim commune, later Nam Trung commune and now Trung Phuc Cuong commune). From 1940, comrade Tran Dinh San was assigned by the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to build the movement in the western districts of Nghe An.

During his revolutionary career, comrade Tran Dinh San was repeatedly arrested, imprisoned and brutally tortured by the enemy. In early 1945, he was released from Buon Ma Thuot prison and stayed in Phu Yen to work under the Party's assignment. After the successful resistance war against the French, the country was temporarily divided in 1954, comrade Tran Dinh San was forced to gather in the North, leaving his wife and children in the South. In the North, he worked at the General Department of Vietnam Railways, then as Principal of the Mechanical Engineering School, Ministry of Agriculture. In early 1974, comrade Tran Dinh San passed away in Hanoi when his wish to reunite with his wife and children had not yet been fulfilled.

For his contributions, comrade Tran Dinh San was honored to receive the First Class Resistance Medal from President Ho Chi Minh in 1961 and was posthumously awarded the Ho Chi Minh Medal in 2001. Comrade Tran Dinh San's name has also been given to streets in Ho Chi Minh City and Vinh City.
Promoting the revolutionary tradition of previous generations, today, the descendants of the Tran Dinh family (branch 2), in Tan Hoa hamlet, Trung Phuc Cuong commune (Nam Dan), continue to strive and contribute much to the cause of building and developing the homeland and the country.

At the ceremony to award the Provincial Historical Relic Ranking Certificate to Tran Dinh Family Temple (Branch 2), Ms. Quach Thi Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province suggested that in the coming time, the local government together with Tran Dinh Family (Branch 2) should pay more attention to implementing the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage in preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of the relic, so that this place becomes a red address in propagating and educating traditional values for future generations.
