Mr. Kha Van Long (60 years old), who lives nearby, said: “Before, the cultural house was built very beautifully, everyone was satisfied and happy. But in the past 3 years, the walls started to have many cracks, it leaked when it rained, and many items such as tables, chairs, and cabinets for storing books were destroyed by termites. Therefore, the village management board and the people could not live there and have left it abandoned since then.”
Explaining the reason why the village cultural house was damaged and abandoned, Mr. Mac Van Bon - Head of Luu Hoa village, Chieu Luu commune said: "The community cultural house was built more than 10 years ago, at that time there were very few construction materials, so most of the sand used for construction was sand from the stream, so the life of the project was not long. For the past 3 years, this cultural house has seriously degraded, it cannot be used for activities, people have to go to local people's houses to live, on big holidays people have no place to organize entertainment".
