Woman sentenced to 12 years in prison for selling drugs for commission

(Baonghean.vn) - Having no stable job, Lu Thi Xuyen, born in 1977, residing in Cha Nga village, My Ly commune, Ky Son district, listened to bad people to receive drugs to sell for profit.

On the morning of August 22, the People's Court of Ky Son district opened the first instance trial of Lu Thi Xuyen, residing in Cha Nga village, My Ly commune, Ky Son district, for illegal drug trafficking.

According to the case file, in early March 2019, a man (Lao nationality) came to meet Xuyen to discuss providing drugs (pink pills) for Xuyen to sell to addicts. If the sale was successful, Xuyen would receive a commission of 20,000 VND per pill. Xuyen did not have a stable job so he agreed.

Afterwards, Xuyen received from the Laotian man a total of more than 400 pink meth pills to sell to addicts in the area.

After many successful missions, at about 5:00 p.m. on March 29, 2019, Ky Son District Police coordinated with My Ly Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) to catch Xuyen red-handed and confiscated 260 drug pills in his bed.

After a comprehensive review of the case, the court sentenced defendant Lo Thi Xuyen to 12 years in prison for illegal drug trafficking.
