(Baonghean.vn) – Right after the final night and award ceremony of the 2016 “Beauty of the coastal city” contest, 2 out of the top 3 beauties of the contest quickly “marched” to Hanoi to attend the preliminary round of the 2016 Miss Vietnam contest in the Northern provinces.

Three beauties Dao Thi Ha, Cao Thi Mai Ly, Vo Thi Thao were crowned at the "Beauty of the coastal city" contest 2016.

Third beauty: Vo Thi Thao

Vo Thi Thao, born in 1994, is truly a child of the "sea town" (from Block Hai Giang 1, Nghi Hai Ward, Cua Lo Town). Thao is the youngest daughter in a family of 3 siblings. Thao lost her father when she was 12 years old, she grew up in the loving arms of her mother.

In 2016, Thao graduated from the Faculty of History - Vinh University, majoring in Vietnamese Studies. Thanks to her excellent internship results at the end of the course, Thao was officially accepted to work at Muong Thanh Hotel, in charge of reception and shop counter work.

As the only representative of the “host” team of Cua Lo Town participating in the competition, Vo Thi Thao always tries her best to perfect her skills. “As a daughter of my homeland, I have to try my best to promote the image of the land and people of Cua Lo” - Thao confided.

That effort and determination helped Vo Thi Thao win the title of "Third Miss" in the final round of "Miss Beach City" 2016, representing Nghe An women to participate in the Miss Vietnam 2016 contest.

Being a curious person, Vo Thi Thao chooses for herself the habit of reading books. In her free time, she likes to do charity work or play sports. The motto of "The Third Beauty" Vo Thi Thao is: "Life is inherently full of difficulties, challenges, disappointments and sadness. Be brave to overcome them to always be yourself and do not let anything obscure your dreams, beliefs and ambitions".

Second beauty: Cao Thi Mai Ly

Cao Thi Mai Ly was born in 1992, her family (parents) currently live in Hoa Hieu ward, Thai Hoa town. Mai Ly is the youngest of two children. Her father is a businessman, her mother is a cultural officer of the town.

From a young age, Mai Ly showed her talent for dancing. Seeing her talent and passion, her parents guided Mai Ly to pursue an artistic career. When the Vietnam Dance College began recruiting, Mai Ly applied and was admitted after three rounds of competition. At the age of 11, Cao Thi Mai Ly went to Hanoi to study dance.

In 2012, after graduating from the Vietnam Dance College, Cao Thi Mai Ly worked at the Army Music and Dance Theater. Currently, this dancer’s rank is second lieutenant. Before participating in the “Beauty of the coastal city” contest, she participated in the “Beauty of ethnic minorities” contest and entered the top 40 beauties of the province.

Mai Ly joined the contest “Beauty of the coastal city” with the goal of challenging and training herself. She believes that to shine, each person needs knowledge, intelligence, determination and most importantly, confidence to express those qualities in themselves.

“Never say you have failed until it is your last attempt and never say it is your last attempt until you succeed”. With that goal and philosophy of life, even though she did not win the highest position, Mai Ly is still very happy and satisfied with what she has tried to achieve.

As a professional officer, in order to participate in the “Beauty of the Coastal City” contest, Cao Thi Mai Ly had to “take leave” from her unit twice. Therefore, although she has a place, she will not participate in the Miss Vietnam 2016 contest but will return to her unit to perform her duties in accordance with military discipline.

Miss Beach Town 2016: Dao Thi Ha

Dai Thi Ha was born on April 10, 1997, and currently lives in Hamlet 9, Tan Son Commune, Do Luong District. Ha is the third child in a family of 5 siblings, both of whose parents are in business. She is currently a second-year student at the Faculty of Public Administration, National Academy of Public Administration.

During the short 1-week break between 2 school years, Ha returned to her hometown and learned about the “Beauty of the coastal city” contest from information on the Internet. Ha’s childhood dream was to become a professional model and photo model, so she “dared” to register to participate. After registering, Ha intended to withdraw, but received support and encouragement from the Tan Son commune and Do Luong district youth unions, so she boldly entered the audition.

Ha herself feels very lucky because everyone, her parents, siblings, relatives, and neighbors all encouraged and cheered her on to compete. Participating in the preliminary round and being lucky enough to make it to the next round, Ha herself realized that it was a fate, so she tried her best not to let down everyone who supported and cheered her on.

The time to participate in the final round and the final night of the competition coincided with the school schedule at the National Academy of Public Administration. Ha herself had to try very hard to balance her time so that the exam would not affect her studies.

At the moment of her coronation, Ha shared: "I think tonight and the time before that, I tried my best. Not only me but all the other contestants "burned" themselves out on the final night stage. I feel proud and honored; I just think I'm luckier than my friends."

“The measure of life is not how long or short it is, but how we use it” – With that philosophy of life, Ha is determined to represent her home province in the Miss Vietnam contest. Ha shared: "I will continue to try and improve myself to be able to perform my best in the upcoming contest. I believe that with faith and determination, I can shine at the Miss Vietnam contest, making the beauty of Nghe An girls famous throughout the country. And I promise not to disappoint everyone".
