Quickly arrest the subject of the gold shop robbery in Nghi Loc district

Nghi Loc District Police co-chaired with the Criminal Police Department, Provincial Police and Cua Lo Town Police to successfully crack a case, quickly arresting the subject who broke into a gold shop in Nghi Loc District, stealing nearly 300 million VND in property.

On October 29, Nghi Loc District Police received a report from the owner of a gold shop in Nghi Xuan Commune about a burglary and theft of property worth nearly 300 million VND.

Immediately after receiving the report, Nghi Loc District Police quickly verified and examined the scene. Determining that the stolen property was of great value, the crime was reckless, causing public panic, Nghi Loc District Police reported to ask for direction from the Provincial Police leaders, coordinating with relevant units to establish a special project. The special project team consisted of 3 units: Nghi Loc District Police, Criminal Police Department - Provincial Police and Cua Lo Town Police co-chaired, mobilizing dozens of officers and soldiers to coordinate with professional departments of the Provincial Police to participate in solving the case.

During the investigation, the Task Force encountered many difficulties because the crime was committed at night; the suspect left almost no clues and no one had any information about the suspect. However, with extensive experience in solving cases and determination to overcome difficulties in attacking and suppressing criminals to the end, just over 2 days after receiving the report, the Task Force identified the suspect who committed the theft at the gold shop in Nghi Xuan commune as Nguyen Thanh Huy (born in 2004), residing in Block 1, Nghi Hoa Ward, Cua Lo Town. On November 1, after collecting sufficient documents and evidence, the Task Force arrested Nguyen Thanh Huy for the crime of "Theft of property".

During the struggle, the subject was evasive and refused to confess. However, with the documents and evidence collected by the police as well as the perseverance and determination of the Task Force, Nguyen Thanh Huy had to confess to his crime. Accordingly, in the early morning of October 29, Huy broke into the gold display and trading area on the first floor of the victim's family, stole 4 trays of gold in the cabinet and 3 watches and quickly escaped. To successfully commit the crime, before committing the crime, the subject had repeatedly surveyed the area around the gold shop to probe the situation and wait for a favorable opportunity to commit the crime.

The investigation team seized evidence including: 37 gold necklaces, 7 gold bracelets, 2 silver rings, 1 silver chain and 3 watches, with a total value of nearly 300 million VND; these evidences were hidden by the subject in deserted areas of Nghi Huong ward, Cua Lo town.

Currently, Nghi Loc District Police are detaining Nguyen Thanh Huy and completing the case file to prosecute the case according to the law.
