Practice hard early

This year, in the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament, Nghia Dan district only participated in the Children's team. In previous seasons, the highest achievement of the Children's team was reaching the quarter-finals. What is noteworthy about Nghia Dan players is that they competed with a spirit of solidarity and made every effort.

The U11 football team players are the outstanding faces of Nghia Dan district school football. With all the honor and pride of being selected for the team, under the dedicated guidance of the coaching board, the attention and creation of all conditions by the district's Culture, Sports and Communication Center, the whole team focused and diligently practiced according to the lesson plan, perfected basic techniques, improved physical strength, and was ready to enter the competition day.

At present, the whole team is racing against time to achieve the best physical strength and form on the opening day of the qualifying round. From early morning, 12 young players of the Nghia Dan District Children's Football Team gathered at the stadium to practice and compete. After the warm-up movements to warm up the body, the whole team was divided into groups to practice tactical coordination, the "attacks" were instructed by the coaching staff to practice smoothly, which were small coordination in the middle, 2 wings and fixed situations. After practicing all the exercises, the children played games according to the training plan of the coaching staff to relax their bodies in preparation for new exercises.

Student Truong Bao Nguyen in Cat Tam hamlet, Nghia An commune said: When I knew I was selected to be on the list of Children's Team to participate in the Youth - Children's Football Tournament Nghe An Newspaper Cup, I was very excited. My house is far from the district center, the travel is quite difficult but I am not discouraged, determined to contribute with my teammates with the desire to bring high results for the overall success of the whole team.

Nguyen Xuan Hieu in Lam Sinh village, Nghia Yen commune said: Every week, my parents take me to practice football at the district center. With the teachers' guidance and encouragement every day, I have learned many football techniques. My dream is to become a good player and contribute to the Song Lam Nghe An football team that I love.

The young athletes were engrossed in their training exercises, and the coaches followed them closely to adjust each technical movement. Outside the field, the parents of the young players were very interested in the training and competition of the children, creating the best conditions for transportation as well as training so that the whole team could aim for the highest goal.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phu, in Lam Sinh village, Nghia Yen commune, whose nephew Nguyen Xuan Hieu was selected to join the team for training, said: Hieu has been passionate about playing football since he was a child. I am very happy that he was selected to join the Children's team to participate in the football tournament organized by Nghe An Newspaper. We are even happier and prouder because this is a provincial-level tournament, professionally organized with the goal of creating a healthy playground for the children. The house is about 30km from the district, but every day I take my nephew to regularly, not letting him miss any training session.

Determined to go deep into the tournament

There are only 10 days left until the opening day of the qualifying round of the 26th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children Football Tournament in 2024. At present, along with the efforts of training, the preparation of competition facilities and human resources is also carefully prepared by the District Cultural and Sports Center.

Talking to us, coach Truong Van Minh said: To prepare for the Nghe An Newspaper Cup in 2024, although the players are still busy studying, the coaching staff has taken advantage of the afternoons of Saturday and Sunday to practice tactics and find suitable positions for the players. After the summer break, we increased the number of training sessions, especially in the time before the competition, to maximize team spirit.

The Youth - Children Football Tournament of Nghe An Newspaper Cup takes place in the hot and sunny conditions of the first days of summer, which can affect the quality of each player's performance, so we are focusing on increasing the physical training of the players. Let the children exercise a lot in the hot sun to gradually get used to the harsh competition conditions and know how to distribute their strength during the match - coach Truong Van Minh added.

Up to this point, the Nghia Dan District Children's Football Team has basically completed technical training such as kicking, passing, 1-touch, 2-touch... Tactical exercises are being gradually implemented. This year, the physical condition of the players is better than the players of previous years, there are players with skillful techniques, scientific and intelligent football thinking and all perform well the instructions given by the coach.
