Previously, a domestic enterprise, VinaMob, was discovered to have pre-installed software that automatically sends messages to foreign switchboards on many Chinese phones circulating on the market, causing users to be "pickpocketed" without knowing. It is worth mentioning that these are not isolated cases, appearing for the first time.

"Management and media agencies need to warn people about this phenomenon so that they can proactively prevent and stop it. Invisibly, phones with malware and spyware installed can become tools to spread spam messages, in addition to the obvious threat to information security," Minister Nguyen Bac Son emphasized.

In addition, the buying and selling of phone numbers and personal information of users online is still common. When the Law on Information Security officially comes into effect, the management agency will develop sanctions to control and severely punish such acts.
