(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the Provincial Party Secretary's call for support and help for the poor to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2020, on January 15, many units and localities organized visits and gave gifts to the poor in the province.

Working delegation of the Provincial People's CourtThe delegation led by Comrade Le Van Quynh - Deputy Chief Justice and representatives of the Youth Union of Nghe An Provincial People's Court visited and presented gifts to disadvantaged households in Tam Son commune, Anh Son district. The delegation presented 50 gifts to 50 disadvantaged households with a total value of more than 30 million VND.

Sending greetings and New Year wishes to the people, comrade Le Van Quynh said that every year, the People's Court of Nghe An province calls on each civil servant and employee to contribute one day's salary to raise funds to support families in difficult circumstances in Tam Son commune, Anh Son district. He also hopes that people in difficult circumstances will have more courage and will, overcome themselves, work hard in production, and soon escape poverty.

Here, the Provincial Red Cross, leaders of Quynh Luu district and representatives of the sponsoring unit presented 100 gifts worth 70 million VND, including 500,000 VND in cash and gift bags worth 200,000 VND.

Nghe An Provincial Women's UnionCoordinated with the Provincial Red Cross to organize a program to support women in border areas in Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district.

On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross and the Provincial Women's Union presented a livelihood model of "raising black chickens" worth 100 million VND to 20 members, women in difficult circumstances in Phu Kha 2 village and Tang Phan village. The funding was taken from the text message "Accompanying women in the border areas".

Presented funding to support the construction of 01 Charity House for a poor member household from the TYM Fund of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, worth 50 million VND. On this occasion, the delegation also visited, wished a happy new year and presented 10 gifts to 10 poor women members, with a total amount of 6.5 million VND.

Military Hospital 4presented 10 Tet gifts to families in especially difficult circumstances in Hung Loc commune (Vinh city, Nghe An), each gift worth 500,000 VND.

Previously, the Hospital had given 17 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to poor students who had overcome difficulties in Nghia Xuan commune (Quy Hop) and 10 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to families in difficult circumstances in Hanh Dich commune (Que Phong). The total amount of money the Hospital donated for Tet gifts in the first phase was nearly 37 million VND.

Le Phu

At the destinations, the delegation visited, encouraged and expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices and great contributions of the heroic martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution who devoted themselves to the independence and freedom of the nation. At the same time, they hoped that the families would continue to promote their traditions and be shining examples for their children and grandchildren to follow. At the same time, they affirmed that the local Party Committee and government always care for and support policy families in the whole district./.

Also in Quy Hop,Quy Hop District Fatherland Front Committeeheld a handover ceremony of the "Great Unity" house to Ms. Lo Thi Quyet (born in 1944), a particularly poor household in Dong Lum hamlet, Chau Quang commune.

After nearly 2 months of construction, the house was completed with a total value of 130 million VND. Of which, the District Fatherland Front Committee supported 50 million VND, this was the amount donated from the friendly football match between Quy Hop FC and Song Lam Nghe An FC, the rest was helped by brothers and neighbors.

On the same day,Nghe An Provincial Policy Bankalso coordinated with the Fatherland Front of Quy Hop district to present a "Great Unity" house to Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai in Banh village, Chau Quang commune.

Mrs. Mai is a poor policy household, with special difficulties. Her husband passed away and she has a son born in 1986 who was infected with toxic chemicals.

The house was completed after 1 month of construction with a total value of 120 million VND, of which Nghe An Provincial Policy Bank supported 70 million VND, a charitable enterprise in the area supported 10 million VND, the rest of the relatives and neighbors supported and helped with many working days.

Tram Anh

Leaders of Anh Son districtled by comrade Dang Xuan Quang - Member of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee visited, presented gifts, and wished longevity to centenarians, policy families, and children in especially difficult circumstances in Binh Son, Tho Son, Thanh Son, and Tam Son communes.

At the families, the delegation kindly asked about their health and life and wished them a warm and happy traditional New Year and to overcome difficulties to build a happy homeland and family. The Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee requested local Party committees and authorities to pay attention and take care of policy beneficiaries during the Lunar New Year so that every family can enjoy the New Year.

On this occasion, the District Party Committee presented 22 gifts to 22 families in difficult circumstances in the commune, each gift worth 500,000 VND, with a total amount of 11 million VND. All the money came from the joint contributions of all officials and civil servants of the District Party Committee, with the intention of sharing with those in difficult circumstances when Tet is coming, so that no one is left behind.

In Tan Ky district, the working delegation led by comrade Ha Xuan Phuc - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the District Party Committee's Inspection Commission visited and presented Tet gifts to policy families with difficult circumstances in Tan Hop and Giai Xuan communes.
