(Baonghean.vn) - On November 25, units and organizations in the province organized many practical activities to support households in difficult circumstances in Ky Son, Quynh Luu, and Quy Hop.

Working group ofVinh City Policeled by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong - Party Secretary, Head of the City Police visited and presented gifts to support the implementation of the Project "Border commune clean of drugs" in My Ly commune, Ky Son district.

Here, on behalf of officers and soldiers of Vinh City Police, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong presented the People's Committee and My Ly Commune Police with many equipment and cash. Of which, he presented the People's Committee with 3 printers and 1 TV worth 25 million VND; supported My Ly Commune Police with 1 water tank worth 10 million VND; presented 24 gifts, each worth 1 million VND to individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Project "Border Commune Clean of Drugs", the total value of the gifts was more than 60 million VND.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of My Ly Border Guard Station. Sharing the difficulties with the Border Guard forces working in the area, Vinh City Police presented 10 million VND in cash and valuable gifts.

Previously, sharing the difficulties with the mountainous border area, especially in performing the task of ensuring security and order, determined to keep the area "clean of drugs", creating a foundation to promote the economic and social development of the locality, the City Police also supported the government and the My Ly Commune Police force with many practical equipment and facilities to serve the work with a total value of more than 100 million VND, including 100 sets of forms on the management of subjects illegally using drugs according to the new Law, 300 drug test strips, 300 Covid-19 test kits and 10 million VND, 1 projector, 1 washing machine... and many valuable gifts.

*Quynh Luu District People's Committee has justCoordinated with the Association for the Protection of Children's Rights and the Support of the Disabled to organize a donation to support the construction of charity houses for orphans and children in difficult circumstances in Quynh Tan and Tan Thang communes.

On this occasion, the district delegation came to present 50 million VND to support the construction of a house of gratitude for two children, Le Thi Suong and Le Tien Cong Quyen, in hamlet 15, Quynh Tan commune, who lost their father. Their family is in difficult circumstances, and their mother has to work hard to raise the two children to study.

Next, the delegation visited and presented 50 million VND to support the construction of houses for 2 children of the Thai ethnic group in Nam Viet village, Tan Thang commune, whose families are in extremely difficult circumstances.

*Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims of Quy Hop Districtcame to encourage and give 50 million VND to support the construction of a solidarity house for Ms. Pham Thi Xuyen - a victim of Agent Orange/dioxin in Cau Da hamlet, Yen Hop commune. Also attending were leaders of some district departments, branches and local authorities.

Ms. Pham Thi Xuyen is a near-poor household in the locality. There are 6 people in the house, Ms. Xuyen is a revolutionary contributor, currently receiving monthly allowance for people infected with toxic chemicals. Worse, the house she lives in unfortunately caught fire in April 2022.

Faced with the difficult circumstances of Ms. Xuyen's family, the Party Committee, People's Committee, Fatherland Front, departments, branches and organizations have arranged temporary accommodation for her family. By May 2022, with the support of departments, branches at all levels of the province, district and local people, Ms. Xuyen's family started building a new spacious house, with an area of ​​about 100 m2, the total cost is more than 500 million VND, of which the Association of Agent Orange/dioxin Victims of the province and district supports 50 million VND, the remaining amount is the source of funding launched by the local government and the family mobilizes itself.
