On the afternoon of October 13, the Forward Command Center for Search and Rescue located in Phong Xuan Commune (Phong Dien) informed that many people in the rescue team at Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant were missing due to landslides.

Excavators were dispatched to the scene to assist with rescue work.

At 11pm on October 12, the approaching team reported that they were still about 3km away from Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant. However, due to bad weather, darkness and landslides, the approach could not continue.

Due to the late night and heavy rain, the group decided to stop at Ranger Station No. 7 in Sub-region 67 (located on the way) to rest and continue their journey early in the morning.

However, in the middle of the night, a landslide occurred, burying two rooms where the rescue team was staying. Currently, only a few of the more than 20 people were lucky enough to escape the landslide scene and return. Many others are still missing.

The province is currently mobilizing forces and means to approach the scene to carry out rescue work. The Forward Command also puts the safety of the rescue force first.
