Information from localities said that during the day and night of September 18, there was heavy rain in Con Cuong, Ky Son and Tuong Duong districts, causing the water level on the Nam Mo River to rise. To ensure the safety of the reservoirs ofhydroelectric plantToday, many hydroelectric plants in Tuong Duong and Con Cuong areas announcedflood discharge.
Mr. Lo Van Ly - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Con Cuong district said that the district has received a notice from Khe Bo Hydropower Plant to release flood water with a flow rate of 500 to 1,000 m3/s from 8:00 a.m. on September 19; at the same time, Chi Khe Hydropower Plant is expected to release flood water with a flow rate of 600 - 1,300 m3/s from 8:30 a.m. on September 19.

Previously, Mr. Lo Kham Kha - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tuong Duong district said that at 4:00 a.m. on September 18, Ban Ang Hydropower Plant also announced a flood discharge of 250 m3/s.
After receiving information about the hydroelectric plants releasing floodwaters, the People's Committees of Tuong Duong and Con Cuong districts notified the communes to inform the people to proactively respond to ensure the safety of people and property.
