During the 2017-2018 school year, Vinh City Youth Union did a good job of propagating and educating the Party's directives and resolutions with many specific and practical contents and forms through 16 sessions of studying the Resolutions of the Youth Union Congresses at all levels with the participation of more than 7,000 youth union members; organizing the Golden Bell Contest "Following His Footsteps" in 2018 with the participation of 100 youth union members and youth in the school sector.

Programs to accompany young people in their studies are also focused on, such as having 90 school-level study clubs; establishing groups to help each other study; 12 school-level conferences on good study; Youth Union members and young people regularly go on field trips and study in practice...

At the same time, widely deploy the movements "Youth Volunteers", "Creative Youth", "Youth Volunteers to Protect the Fatherland"... to promote the spirit of volunteering among school youth in building and protecting the Fatherland; the programs "Accompanying youth in studying and scientific research", "Accompanying youth in starting a business and establishing a career"...

Regarding the work of the Young Pioneers and the children's movement in the 2017-2018 school year, the City Young Pioneers Council closely followed the school year program of the Provincial Young Pioneers Council; the targets set at the beginning of the school year were basically achieved and exceeded. More than 25 competitions were organized to learn and tell stories about Uncle Ho with the participation of 323 teenagers and children; more than 53 bookcases of Uncle Ho with children were built; 53 teams built traditional corners.

The whole city organized many meaningful activities in creating an environment for children to practice ethics, lifestyle, study, health and skills; build a team of the Union Command Board, a team in charge of Stars, consolidate the activities of the Council of the Youth Union of wards and communes; the work of building the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers organization was focused on through the training and development of team members, during the year, 6,171 new team members were recruited...

At the conference, many opinions were expressed and contributed to the work orientation for 2018-2019 to improve the quality of activities of organizations and Youth Union - Young Pioneers work in the city, completing the set goals.
